The Savannah Scoop

As much as I enjoy school, I cannot wait for it to be over.  SUMMER!!!  I have never been more excited for summer.  I have many plans for the next few months.  In June, it will be mostly basketball, which is always a good time.  Towards the end of the month I will go to church camp with Brookie, Erika, Shelby, and Charli.  We are going to have loads of fun.  I am mostly pumped for the bag of snacks that Erika is going to bring.  As for the rest of my jam packed summer, I intend to hang out with my friends and possibly go visit family.  All I know for sure is that I will have a lot of fun and make lasting memories that I’ll never forget! 

It all started when I was two.  The family decided to get a new puppy.  (I would have been much happier with a kitten).  We got a little toy poodle.  Since my brother liked "The Incredibles" so much, the puppy was named Dash.  We had had Dash for only a day when troubles came.  I accidentally ran over and broke Dash's foot with a toy shopping cart.  Some people think it was on purpose.  I don't blame them.  Throughout the many years,  I have questioned if my mom loves Dash more than she loved me.  Her answer was always, of course, no.  Although I did not always believe her.  I have witnessed Dash and my mom, MY OWN MOTHER, taking naps together.  WHAT?  This Summer, Dash will turn 13 and I will be 14.  To this day, I still don't know who my mom loves more. 

Ah, social media.  A blessing and a curse.   Although social media has its many benefits, it also has some disadvantages.  Some positive things about social media platforms are making new friends, sharing events in your life, talking to old family and friends and keeping up with your favorite celebrities.  Some of the disadvantages are stalkers, people stealing your information, and cyber bullying.  i have several social media platforms myself.  These include Snapchat and Instagram.  I personally enjoy social media.  Although I do have to be careful everytime I post something.  So always remember to 

It all began with an adorably sweet kitten named Milo.  Milo was my first personal kitten. We did everything together.  We took naps, ate breakfast, and bathed together.  Okay, I’m exaggerating a bit.  One day I went out to gather Milo for our daily siesta.  It then came to my realization that I could not find her.  Since I was so young, it took me a while to get over the departure of my sweet Milo.  The next feline to go was a loving calico named Milkshake.  Milkshake was a sweet and careful cat who loved to cuddle. She even talked sometimes!   One day I went outside to play with Milkshake. To my suprise, she wasn’t where she normally was. GONE.     One morning, a few days before Christmas, I got the greatest present ever.  A brand new kitten named Jingles!   Jingles was my play time pal.  Jingles made it through two moves and many other hardships.  One day, sadly, he disappeared.  Many people believe that he fled because I forgot his birthday two years in a row.  The world may neve

Hip Hip Hooray!!!  Yesterday after tryouts, I was extremely ecstatic to figure out that I, get ready for this, MADE MASCOT!  CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?  I am ready to fulfill my duties as the brand new Borden County Mascot and entertain everyone.  Congratulations to all of the very talented girls who made it as well.  With one of those being Allison Buchanan, one of my excellent friends, we are definitely going to have an unforgettable year!            

If you think you are stressed out, just try going for school mascot. That will definitely do it to you. Between getting props set up and the music on time, it is a very time-consuming goal to aim for.  I am trying out with one of my best friends, Allison Buchanan.  I truly hope that we both make it!  Although, if we don’t we will surely try again next year!
